Program Analysis Branch

Mbeja (m-bay’-juh) Lomotey (low’-mow-tay) became the health research evaluator in the NIEHS Division of Extramural Research and Training, Program Analysis Branch in 2022. As the health research evaluator, he is responsible for (1) overseeing the program class coding (PCC) grant assignments, (2) conducting program analysis of NIEHS programs and policies, and (3) the evaluation and analysis of grant portfolios.

Mbeja has a Master of Public Health degree and a Doctor of Public Health degree in behavioral sciences and health education and health policy. He has extensive experience working in program implementation and management, and research and evaluation. Previously, he worked as a project officer in the Health Resource Services Administration, overseeing a broad portfolio of grants focused on public health and behavioral health training and maternal and child health. Earlier, he administered teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) grants and provided technical assistance and support to grantees in the Office of Adolescent Health.
