Much of the work carried out by DTT is in support of the National Toxicology Program (NTP), an interagency partnership of the Food and Drug Administration, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and NIEHS.

Ms. Elizabeth (Eli) Ney is a biologist in the Imaging Sciences Core Laboratory, part of the Comparative and Molecular Pathology Branch within the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) at NIEHS. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Ms. Ney joined NIEHS in 1995, bringing years of experience as an offsite contractor specializing in both in vitro and in vivo research as a research technician. In 2002, she transitioned to the Imaging Sciences Core Laboratory, where she is responsible for Brightfield and Fluorescent whole-slide digital imaging, annotating images for image analysis projects, and creating figures for investigators' journal publications. Additionally, she serves as the system administrator for the digital imaging Image Management System. In 2019, Ms. Ney earned a certificate in Digital Pathology from the Digital Pathology Association.
