Much of the work carried out by DTT is in support of the National Toxicology Program (NTP), an interagency partnership of the Food and Drug Administration, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and NIEHS.

Quashana Brown is a biologist in the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), where she serves as the lead biologist for the Comparative and Molecular Pathogenesis Branch (CMPB) Histology and Necropsy Core Laboratories. In this role, she oversees all projects submitted to the Histology and Necropsy core and provides expertise in various methodologies.

Brown earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by postgraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Central University.

She joined NIEHS in 2009, as a student before transitioning to a Biological Science Laboratory Technician in the DTT Immunohistochemistry Core Laboratory. During her time in the IHC Core, she gained extensive experience and cross-trained in the IHC, Histology, Necropsy, and Electron Microscopy Core Laboratories. In 2021, she transitioned to a permanent position as a biologist in the Histology Core Lab.
