Much of the work carried out by DTT is in support of the National Toxicology Program (NTP), an interagency partnership of the Food and Drug Administration, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and NIEHS.

Renée Fisher serves as the Supervisory Biologist for the Pathology Support Group (PSG) within the Comparative and Molecular Pathology Branch (CMPB) of the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) at NIEHS. The PSG comprises six centralized core laboratories—Necropsy, Histology, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Electron Microscopy (EM), Digital Imaging, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)—that provide pathology-related support to NIEHS researchers.

Fisher joined NIEHS in 2022 after gaining extensive experience in Clinical Pathology at UNC Rex Hospital. She holds a B.S. in Health Science from Purdue University Global and an M.S. in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia University.
