Respiratory Population Studies

Research Summary

Stephanie J. London, M.D., Dr.P.H., is Deputy Chief of the Epidemiology Branch, and holds dual appointments in the Immunity, Inflammation, and Disease Laboratory (IIDL) and the NIEHS Epidemiology Branch. Her group within IIDL is the Genetic Epidemiology Group. The work of this group is complementary with the work of her group in the Epidemiology Branch (Genetics, Environment & Respiratory Disease Group). The group in IIDL uses experimental models to follow-up findings from her work in epidemiologic studies of the role of environmental and genetic factors, and their interaction, in respiratory and allergic outcomes across the life-course. The current focus of the IIDL group is using mouse models to follow-up novel loci that she has identified in genome wide association studies of pulmonary function.

More detailed information on her program can be found on the webpage for the Genetics, Environment & Respiratory Disease Group in the Epidemiology Branch.
