Strategic Plan 2024-2028 (NEW)

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is creating the next generation of our Strategic Plan. As the end of the current plan approaches, we’re taking a fresh look at our goals. We are considering how current trends, ideas, practices, and needs in environmental health sciences might help us to shape the next phase of our Institute’s work, as we continue to provide leadership to the field.

Our new planning process begins with collecting input from our stakeholder community through:

  • a Request for Information (RFI)
  • a Stakeholder Community Workshop
  • a Listening Session with our National Advisory Environmental Health Sciences Committee (NAEHSC)

During the next phase we will analyze the input received to identify key concepts and recommendations that will help to inform development of a draft plan.

Updates on the Strategic Planning process will be shared at the next NAEHSC meeting on June 6-7, 2023. This meeting is open to the public via webcast. Check back for details on this event on the NIEHS Live Webcast site.
