The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) has issued an Other Transactions (OT) Research Opportunity Announcement (ROA) for organizations to participate in the East Palestine, Ohio Train Derailment Study. This research opportunity’s primary goal is to create a program that is co-developed by the community, academic researchers and other stakeholders to address the immediate and longer-term health concerns from exposures to chemicals released during the train derailment. NIEHS, with administrative support from NCATS, plans to provide $2 million per FY for the next five years for 1-3 awards. Please direct any questions to Toccara A.
