Amanda Garton joined the Genes Environment and Health Branch in the Division of Extramural Research and Training at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) as a Health Specialist in 2016. Prior to starting at NIEHS, she was a Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). While there she completed several rotations, including in the Office of Autism Research Coordination (OARC) where she worked as a health science policy analyst. She also completed an external rotation at the NIH Clinical Center in the Office of Communications and Media Relations. She has a Masters of Science in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on science and technology policy, and a Masters of Science in Environmental Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
