Macromolecular Structure Group

The Macromolecular Structure Group offers the following resources.

Research Support

The Macromolecular Structure Group’s work is supported by funds provided by the Intramural Research Program of NIEHS. Core resources are also supported by NIEHS and include media preparation and glassware, mass spectrometry, DNA sequencing, protein expression, photography and graphics, and computer support. Outstanding X-ray, Cryo-EM, and NMR facilities are available on-site. NIEHS is a member of the SER-CAT consortium, giving institute scientists regular access to the beamlines at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Labs.

A Rich Scientific Environment

NIEHS is located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, which is centrally located between Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. The area is rich in scientific resources (not to mention great basketball), being home to Duke University, the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University. The group is also a member of the Duke University Center for RNA Biology and participates in the activities of the RNA Society of North Carolina .
