virtual meeting on a desktop computer

The Health and Extreme Weather (HEW) Data Accelerator Program aims to develop and promote data sharing standards and governance policies.

These efforts will provide a dedicated and sustained focus on advancing Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) practices, including the creation and adoption of environmental health data standards. This includes:

  • Standard common data elements (CDEs)
  • Standard terminology
  • Standard data access

These efforts will advance understanding of data access and usage patterns as well as barriers that can inform NIH policies.
