Job Description

Position Overview:

The NIEHS Mass Spectrometry Research Center (MSRC) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in mass spectrometry imaging for biomedical research. This position offers a unique opportunity to perform mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) using a Bruker timsTOF fleX instrument while collaborating with investigators across a wide range of scientific disciplines. In addition to supporting collaborative projects, the fellow will pursue independent, mentored research focused on the development, optimization, and application of advanced imaging mass spectrometry methods. The position also provides training in LC-MS workflows, including metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics, as well as hands-on experience with multiple mass spectrometry platforms and exposure to core facility operations, project management, and collaborative research models.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, biology, or a related field; prior experience in mass spectrometry is preferred.

Benefits:

The appointment is for an initial term of 1–2 years and may be renewed for up to 5 years, with competitive salary and benefits.
