2017 interns
Kathryn Morris is a J.D. candidate at New York University (NYU) School of Law. Prior to graduate school, Ms. Morris worked for the FBI as a Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act specialist, analyzing investigative records for classified and sensitive information prior to public disclosure. During college, she worked as a public affairs specialist in new and social media for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where she promoted local VA medical services and health initiatives. At NYU Law School, she is a member of the Privacy Research Group for the Information Law Institute and will join the Policing Project as an extern for the 2017-2018 academic year. Her research interests include patient privacy and the use of bioinformation in law enforcement.
Juliet Taylor is an M.A. Candidate in the Duke University Bioethics and Science Policy program. She received her B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2016. Her interests include aspects of environmental and public health related to research ethics, social and cultural implications of science, science communication, and the intersection of science and policy. In the past, Ms. Taylor has researched public perceptions of environmental regulation, and is currently working on a research project at Duke focused on identifying factors that affect the way science is translated to changes in behavior across society. Her goal is to define and strengthen the relationship between science, policy, and the public.
