2witech Solutions LLC developed a portable device to screen for PFAS in contaminated water. Capable of detecting very low concentrations of PFAS, the analyzer quickly provides real-time information and costs less than traditional laboratory testing. 2witech Solutions is a small business funded by an SRP Small Business Innovation Research Grant.
| Technology | A portable electrochemical sensing device to quickly screen for PFAS in water. The sensor has been tested in the lab with synthetic PFAS-spiked samples and is being validated using real contaminated groundwater samples. |
|---|---|
| Innovation | The sensor combines molecular-imprinting technology and advanced electrochemical sensor development to detect a wide range of PFAS concentrations, from 1 to 200 parts per trillion. It offers a rapid response time and high selectivity of PFAS without interference. |
| Contaminant and Media | PFAS in drinking water, groundwater, surface water, and wastewater. |
