Earthrise Poem by Amanda Gorman
Amanda Gorman covering her eyes

American Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman performed her poem ‘Earthrise' during the 24 hours of Reality event in 2018, using her uplifting prose to address climate change.

Named for the famous Apollo 8 photo of the earth rising from behind the moon, Earthrise, Gorman's poem on climate change is a passionate call for action.
