Program Requirements
NIH Summer Internship Program
NIEHS Summer Internship Program (SIP)
will be 18 years of age or older by June 15 of the year they are seeking an internship,
are in college (including community college) or graduate/professional school at the time of application, OR
are high school graduates at the time of application and have been accepted into accredited college or university programs, AND
are U.S. citizens or permanent residents (U.S. citizens may apply if they are enrolled at least half-time in an accredited college or university as undergraduate, graduate, or professional students. Permanent residents must be enrolled in or, if they have already graduated from high school, have been accepted into an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.)
