Superfund Research Program

December 2017 - As part of the professional introduction and networking session at the 30th Superfund Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, trainees sat at different tables based on their career interests. Each table included SRP alumni who could talk to them about that career field.

SPAN is a group of students, postdocs, and alumni who are or were funded by the Superfund Research Program. SPAN helps its members connect professionally and socially with SRP-funded trainees at other universities, develop and expand their professional network, and stay abreast of career and employment opportunities.
Want to get involved? Attend the annual meeting to meet up with fellow students and get to know them in the student-only events. SPAN also organizes SRP grantee socials at other meetings, so keep an eye on the mailing list for details.
The SPAN Leadership Committee is the leadership panel of SPAN. It organizes social events at meetings, provides feedback and input to SRP Program Staff, and provides an excellent opportunity for student leadership within the SRP. If you would like to join the SPAN Leadership Committee or would like to nominate a student for the committee, please contact Danielle Carlin (danielle.carlin@nih.gov).
The Opportunities for Trainees webpage has information about career advancement, funding and employment opportunities, and grant information.
These Webpages are provided as a networking resource for SRP trainees, both currently funded and previously funded (alumni). Please contact William McLean (william.mclean@nih.gov) to share announcements and resources.
