Past Training Activities

The SRP is committed to providing opportunities for training in environmental and occupational health and safety of hazardous waste. Two examples of SRP’s support for this type of training can be found in SRP's Request for Information which determined the need for design and organization of hazardous substance training programs in emerging technologies (e.g., nanotechnology, remediation (chemical, physical, and biological), and exposure sciences (assessment, biology, sensor technology). SRP has also provided support to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to administer training grants to Educational Resource Centers (ERCs) at various Universities around the United States (PAR-10-217). For more information about SRP’s past support of the ERCs, see the NIOSH Training Activities webpage.
