Superfund Research Program
The SRP is focused on acquiring new scientific and engineering knowledge through the support of basic research in an attempt to protect and improve public health. While the pathway from discovery to application is often lengthy, it is important to recognize the accomplishments of SRP-funded research and the impact that the Program has had through the development, validation and patenting of remediation technologies and analytic/detection methods. Thus far, SRP funded researchers have compiled a very impressive list of patents, resulting from the high quality of research being performed under this Program.
