Summary
This commentary examines the structural and systemic challenges that contribute to racial disparities in health, specifically with the Covid-19 pandemic. This paper uses stories to illustrate where industry has contributed to the outbreak and review how they exemplify racial capitalism. This paper addresses the need for public health professionals to critically evaluate the populations helped and hurt by understanding structural determinants of health in etiological evaluation.
