Description of cohort Study of all residents of New York who are admitted as an inpatient or visit an emergency room.

Chemicals/Exposures studied All chemicals identified in hazardous waste sites by the New York Department of Conservation, including POPs, VOCs, and others.
Health or social effects studied Cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, asthma, respiratory and other infections diabetes, thyroid disease
