Description: This conference will focus on fetal and early postnatal development as the most vulnerable stages of human life, in regard to adverse effects of environmental hazards. As part of the modern concept of developmental origins of health and disease, this field represents a burgeoning and exciting field of biomedical research. In line with previous PPTox conferences, we anticipate innovative and transdisciplinary presentations of high relevance to public health. The conference will include presentations on the highly successful national birth cohort in Japan, reports from patient studies, and modern approaches to predictive testing and identification of modes of action.
