Getting Personal, Getting Real: Health in the Teaching of Climate & Earth Science

Dr. John Balbus, HHS Principal to the US Global Change Research Program and chair of the American Meteorological Society’s Board on Environmental Health was the presenter for the NOAA Climate Steward Education Project (CSEP) webinar held in February. CSEP provides support for educators to execute climate stewardship projects with their audiences to increase understanding of climate science and practical actions to reduce the impact of climate change. Health educators can take advantage of CSEP in several ways, the simplest of which would be to introduce students to information on climate science via online tools and videos such as this one.
