Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change is an international, multidisciplinary research collaboration between academic institutions and practitioners across the world. The Lancet Countdown aims to track indicators in five focus areas to provide a global overview of health and climate change: the health impacts of climate hazards; health resilience and adaptation; health co-benefits of climate change mitigation; economics and finance; and political and broader engagement. The Countdown will also develop national case studies and promote engagement with a range of stakeholders. This figure from the November, 2016 Lancet article about the Countdown shows some of the complex linkages between climate change and health.
