Vicki Sutherland, Ph.D., is a scientist in the Toxicology Branch of the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. She serves as a study scientist for chemicals selected for toxicity and carcinogenicity evaluation by the NTP.  Currently, she is the lead on studies evaluating chemicals found in antibacterial products and on multiple bisphenol analogues. These studies include in vitro and in vivo evaluation of toxicity, toxicokinetics, absorption, disposition, metabolism, and excretion of the chemical. She has a particular interest in reproduction and development and neurotoxicity.

After completing a Ph.D. in physiology at the University of Arizona and postdoctoral work under the Neural Systems, Memory and Aging Division at the Arizona Research Laboratories, she worked as a reproductive toxicologist at Bristol-Myers Squibb overseeing investigative and non-clinical studies evaluating the effects of novel drugs on reproduction, development, and fertility. She joined the NTP in 2013.
