What is the NIEHS Biomedical Career Symposium?
The annual NIEHS Biomedical Career Symposium, now in its 23rd year, is one of the largest assemblies of biomedical organizations and young scientists in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Targeting postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, the Career Symposium provides young scientists with an opportunity to explore a myriad of career options and create a contact network as they plan for their future careers in the biomedical sciences.
The 23rd Annual NIEHS Biomedical Career Symposium was held on Friday, July 24, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Career Symposium was held in a limited format virtually. The symposium consisted of some selected workshops from the original program as well as CV/Resume Review sessions. This year, we did not host career panel discussions at NIEHS; instead, participants could view career panel discussions at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)'s virtual career symposium website.
