Meeting Purpose
The purpose of the Partnerships for Environmental Public Health (PEPH) 2018 meeting was to enable meaningful dialog on the important topic of reporting back research results. Grantees across the PEPH Network are dealing with the various levels and issues related to returning research results, such as ethical, cultural, social and scientific considerations. During this meeting, participants learned from one another, shared approaches, discussed challenges, and examined how the network of PEPH grantees could help to inform the broader conversation.
Meeting Goals
- Developed a list of promising practices
- Examined principles of decision-making about reporting back results
- Clarified issues regarding reporting back results and IRBs
- Addressed ethics of reporting back research results
