25 Years of Endocrine Disruption Research MeetingsMeeting Goals
This meeting was part of the NIEHS 50th year celebration and the 25th anniversary of the Wingspread Endocrine Disruption Conference (the seminal endocrine disruptor meeting). The meeting was open to the public and included sessions on the history of endocrine disruption, the current state-of-the-science in EDC research, and how to address data gaps and challenges to move the field forward.
The meeting scientific program included sessions on:
- Historical perspective of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals
- Emerging Disease Endpoints
- Emerging Chemicals
- Legacy Chemicals
- New Methods for EDC Testing
- Policy/ Economic Implications
- Development of the next Generation of EDC researchers
The scientific program was developed by a committee of NIEHS staff (Office of the Director, Division of Intramural Research, Division of Extramural Research and Training, and the Division of the National Toxicology Program) and grantees.
