As an umbrella program, Partnerships for Environmental Public Health (PEPH) will include funding opportunity announcements from NIEHS and funding opportunity announcements from other Institutes and Centers (ICs) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in which NIEHS participates. This section lists and describes the various funding opportunity announcements that currently fit under the PEPH umbrella. This list will change as new funding opportunity announcements are released and other funding opportunity announcements close.
In addition to the following funding opportunity announcements, NIEHS encourages the submission of project applications using the unsolicited research grant process (e.g., R01s). These investigator initiated proposals are sent to NIH for review at the Center for Scientific Review (CSR). The Institutional Review Group (IRG) that may be most appropriate to PEPH-related unsolicited applications is the Epidemiology and Population Sciences IRG(http://cms.csr.nih.gov/PeerReviewMeetings/CSRIRGDescriptionNew/EPSIRG/), but please contact program staff if this IRG is the best fit. If you are unfamiliar with the NIH grants process, you should visit our web page that provides Instructions and Resources for Applicants(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/funding/grants/instructions/index.cfm).
Trans-NIH Funding Opportunities Related to PEPH
NIEHS participates in a variety of funding opportunities sponsored by other Institutes and Centers within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Several of these funding opportunities are aligned with the goals and objectives of the PEPH program and are described below.
