Scientific Review Branch (SRB)

Linda received her master’s degree in biology from North Carolina Central University and Ph.D. in entomology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to coming to NIEHS, she worked as a biologist in the Biological and Economic Analysis Branch with the Office of Pesticide Programs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, D.C.

Linda has been a scientific review officer with NIEHS for more than 17 years, and oversees the scientific peer review of various types of environmentally-related research grant applications and cooperative agreements. Linda is also the designated review official for the institute’s Chartered Review Committee, the Environmental Health Sciences Review Committee (EHSRC). This Committee reviews all P30 center grant applications, training grants applications (T32 and T35) and various career awards (K applications). In addition, Linda is responsible for the recruitment of members to the institute’s National Advisory Environmental Health Sciences Council. She has and continues to serve on various types of NIEHS and trans-NIH Committees.
