Occasional sarcomas metastasize to the liver or, alternatively, originate there but have insufficient characteristics to permit a definitive diagnosis from H&E-stained slides. These are usually documented as sarcoma, NOS.


A discrete sarcoma of undetermined cell type is present in the liver.
