Environmental exposures and disease flare in adult and juvenile dermatomyositis and polymyositis

Case control, an internet-based survey study
Types & Number of IIM Studied:
Adult and Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Polymyositis (N = 400)
Entry Criteria:
Patients with Adult and juvenile dermatomyositis and polymyositis or parents of patients with juvenile dermatomyositis and polymyositis who are:
- at least 1 year from diagnosis of myositis
- at least 2-85 years of age
- reside in the United States or Canada
- can answer an online survey for 20-30 minutes
Primary Outcome:
Examine factors contributing to the disease flare
Study Duration:
2 years
