NIEHS at the NIH Clinical Center

We strive to make parking for our patients and their visitors as streamlined as possible. The addition of valet parking (http://www.cc.nih.gov/ccc/visitor/valetpark.html) is one improvement.

When you arrive at the entrance to the Clinical Center, a valet parking attendant will give you a claim ticket for your vehicle and park it in a lot near the front entrance. Have your claim ticket stamped at the parking validation desk when your are ready to depart, then reclaim your vehicle.

A campus shuttle (http://dtts.ors.od.nih.gov/NIHShuttle/scripts/shuttle_map_live.asp) is available for you in the event you need to go to another building, the metro, or the Children's Inn.

If you need directions to get to the Clinical Center, need an airport shuttle schedule or will be arriving via Metro (our local rail system), please see the visitors traveling page (http://www.cc.nih.gov/about/visitor/dir_to.shtml) . If you want door to door driving directions you can go to Mapquest (http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp) and type in your address as the start point and fill in National Institute of Health, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD, 20892-0002 as the end point.

Our local transportation system is called 'Metrorail' and includes an extensive bus system as well as a rail system around the area. Metrorail maps, stations and fare information is available on the Metrorail site (http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/riding_metrorail.cfm) .

To offer the most secure and safe environment for our patients and visitors, extra security is in place. Therefore, vehicles are inspected and two IDs are required for drivers.
