Brian Sayers, Ph.D., is an Intramural Research Training Award Fellow in the Toxicology Branch of the Division of National Toxicology Program (NTP) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
As a trainee, Sayers serves as the study scientist for chemicals nominated to the NTP for toxicity and carcinogenicity evaluation. Currently he is the lead on studies evaluating nanomaterials, metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and dietary supplements. He has a background in nanotoxicology and a particular interest in respiratory/inhalation toxicology.
Sayers received a B.S. in Toxicology from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to attending graduate school, he worked in the drug safety evaluation department at Sanofi-Aventis. He joined the NTP in 2013.
