LSB Awardees at 2011 NIEHS Science Day

The Laboratory of Structural Biology received several awards at the Intramural Science Day.

 

Staff Scientist Geoffrey A. Mueller, Ph.D. from the NMR group received the award for Outstanding Staff Scientist.

Dr. Mueller proceeded to give a presentation on the “Structural Characterization of Allergens from Dust Mites and Peanuts.” He detailed his work at the institute and how it relates to the origins of allergic disease and possible improvements in immunotherapy for the treatment of allergy.

Post Docs Nisha Cavanaugh, Ph.D. (DNA Repair and Nuclei Acid Enzymology Group) and Scott Lujan, Ph.D.(DNA Replication Fidelity Group) were invited to give short presentations to the Intramural program.
