American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act)
NIEHS Superfund Research Program (SRP) received approximately $12.3 Million in ARRA funding.
SRP grants funded through the P42, R01, R41, R42, R43 and R44 mechanisms were eligible for ARRA funds.
The SRP utilized the following three mechanisms:
NIEHS Administrative Supplements under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act for the SRP
Diversity supplements
Summer Research Experiences: NIEHS provided SRP grantees with funds to support students and teachers and provide research experiences in NIH-funded laboratories.
NIEHS also accepted summer experiences for internships with EPA, ATSDR and other government laboratories/facilities.
The receipt date for the SRPs administrative and diversity supplements requests has passed and awards have been made. Information about the reserach being conducted under these grants is becoming available.
