The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Public Health Service (PHS) is seeking a Staff Clinician to expand the activities of a clinical research program in the role of environmental and genetic factors in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases at the Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Staff Clinicians are physicians who spend a majority of their time providing critical clinical services to the NIH. The Staff Clinician is also expected to provide clinical leadership and the highest level of clinical care. The individual will report to the Chief of the Environmental Autoimmunity Group and collaborate closely with intramural laboratory programs to study the pathogenesis and natural history of patients with autoimmune diseases.

The successful candidate for this Staff Clinician position will have an MD degree or equivalent and board certification or qualification in internal medicine and rheumatology. Formal training in clinical research, experience in conducting clinical studies and evidence of scholarly achievements in these areas are highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience.
