Worker Education and Training Program

2010 Conference on Environmental Justice, Air Quality, Goods Movement and Green Jobs: Evolution and Innovation

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Air Quality Planning & Standards (OAQPS), the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Worker Education and Training Program (WETP), and Dillard University's Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ) are hosting the 2010 Conference on Environmental Justice, Air Quality, Goods Movement and Green Jobs: Evolution and Innovation being held January 25-27, 2010 in New Orleans, LA. We are issuing a call for abstracts for poster presentations on Environmental Justice by community residents. Abstracts will be accepted October 14 - November 13, 2009.

NIEHS Releases Funding Opportunity Announcements (Formerly Called RFAs) for HAZMAT Worker Health and Safety Training & DOE

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is requesting applications for HAZMAT Worker Health and Safety Training and HAZMAT Training at the Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Weapons Complex. NIEHS invites applications for cooperative agreements to support the development of model programs for the training and education of workers engaged in activities related to hazardous materials and waste generation, removal, containment, transportation and emergency response.
