Disaster Response Training: From WTC to Katrina Five Years of Lessons Learned

Fall 2006 Awardee Meeting and Technical Workshop

From September 13-15, 2006, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Worker Education and Training Program (WETP) convened its Fall Awardee Meeting and Technical Workshop in New York City. Over the three days, audience members participated in panel sessions, breakout sessions, program updates, and discussion periods. The conference focused on health and safety training in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and 9/11, as well as the WETP core mission and how the program impacts the worker safety and health community in a variety of situations.
