NIEHS BPA Grantee Research Meeting

January 28-29, 2013

The BPA Consortium was established to stimulate coordination and collaboration between scientists studying the safety of BPA. Specifically, the consortium aims to (1) identify the most conclusive data that links BPA exposure to disease and/or developmental dysfunction in humans and animal models; (2) address the major areas of data inadequacy and/or inconsistency in human and animal models of BPA research; (3) develop a means to better integrate and cross-fertilize human and animal research projects; and (4) determine a better understanding of the risks associated with routs and levels of exposure, and to develop more consistent and reliable biomonitoring and endpoint studies

Meeting Goals: This meeting will showcase the BPA projects that were funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), as well as other NIEHS-supported research on BPA.

There will also be a Women’s Reproductive Health Meeting on January 30th at NIEHS. This meeting is co-sponsored by NIEHS and the Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE). More details on both meetings will follow shortly.
